Meet Tat Stewart
Pastor Tat Stewart received his B.A degree from Lincoln University, PA. and his M. Div from Princeton Theological Seminary and has served as an ordained minister for over 50 years. He served as the last pastor of the Community Church of Tehran, Iran and served as a youth advisor for the Evangelical church of Iran before being deported by the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was the Director of Persian Ministries for over twenty years for the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and the founder and Executive Director of TALIM Ministries. He and his wife Patty (who both speak Farsi) planted Farsi-speaking congregations Maryland and Colorado. He was one of the founders of SAT-7 PARS (a Christian satellite ministry) and served as chairman of the board for over ten years. He has taught over a hundred hours of discipleship material, which has been aired in Iran on Christian Satellite. He is the founder and served as editor of Shaban Magazine, a leadership magazine in Farsi for pastors. He has been a popular speaker at Iranian Christian Conferences throughout the Iranian Diaspora. He has written ten booklets on pastoral topics, which have been widely distributed among Iranian Christians. He has had a fruitful ministry of mentoring new young Iranian Christian leaders. He has served as a “Perspectives” teacher in the US and Canada and been a sought-after speaker for missions conferences.
Tat and Patty both grew up in Iran where both sets of parents were Presbyterian Medical Missionaries. Patty was born in Iran. They were married in 1969, and have spent their lives serving Christ together. They have two children and five grandchildren.
